Paula K. Canaday - Daeke

I am the Owner and Founder of Fiscally Balanced®, LLC, and I am honored to have my clients entrust me with access to and advising on matters pertaining to their daily financial lives.

I was given the blessing of having two wonderful parents who modeled responsible money practices. As a teenager, I created my own budgeting system using the envelope method from my tips and income as a server. I opened my first savings account with the help of my mom. When I started college, my dad co-signed a bank loan with me to buy a computer to support my major in Computer Information Systems, because in those days the computer lab wasn’t open all night. This taught me a lot about how much more you pay for an item when you are indebted to a bank.

In my early adult years, I learned the hard way the importance of emergency savings. My car broke down and left me on the side of the road multiple times, and I ended up with some credit card debt for the first time. After graduating college with some student loan and credit card debt, I became hyper-focused to pay it off as fast as possible with my new salary from my technology consulting job. I continued to create and track my budget and had the discipline to pay off my debt over the next few years. This experience led to many folks seeking my advice on their personal finances throughout my adult life.

This became the inspiration for me creating Fiscally Balanced®, LLC in 2018 to help handle personal daily financial matters for those limited in ability, knowledge, time, or even desire. Fiscally Balanced can take the burden of organizing financial paperwork and help with daily financial tasks using a tailored approach to one’s daily money management needs. I gain great satisfaction in teaching and equipping others with skills for strong and responsible money practices. I can also recognize that life situations for others require us to step in and take over daily financial matters.

Fiscally Balanced works with varying types of clients including individuals, families, adult children, seniors, busy professionals, travelers, people in life transition, fiduciaries, and small businesses. We help with budgeting and spend analysis, bill payment, and financial organization. Work is performed remotely, but some situations or tasks may need to be handled in-person. Our approach is to help only where help is needed as one-time support or ongoing assistance, always starting with the client’s goals in mind.

I am passionate about helping people achieve their financial objectives and live a more balanced financial life. If you or a loved one is looking for help with personal finances, I encourage you to contact us today.
