What is a Daily Money Manager?

A Daily Money Manager (DMM) assists by handling personal daily financial matters for those limited in ability, knowledge or time.  Fiscally Balanced can take the burden of organizing financial paperwork and help with daily financial tasks by becoming your personal CFO.

Who needs a Daily Money Manager?

My clients include those experiencing life transitions such as marriage, divorce or loss of a loved one, and individuals or families wanting a different financial trajectory for their life.  Additional clients include busy professionals, seniors, and those with a disability or illness.

Why is it important that you are a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers?

As a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) and Vice President of the Atlanta chapter, I must adhere to a Code Of Ethics and high Standards Of Practice along with being independently background checked every two years.  The badges in the footer of this page showcase my membership to AADMM and that I have been background checked through an independent agency chosen by AADMM.

Do you replace my financial advisor, accountant, attorney or insurance agent?

These professionals play a critical role in your overall financial health.  As a DMM, I complement these professionals by preparing and organizing documents and financial records so they can more effectively help with their respective specialties. I can meet with you and any professional as your liaison should you desire. I can also refer you to any of these professionals and others should you or your family need assistance beyond what my services cover.

How do you handle privacy of my personal information?

After working in the legal industry for almost 17 years, I understand the importance of handling sensitive client data and ensuring this information stays confidential.  I outline confidentiality of your personal sensitive information within my Engagement Letter. Should you want me to have the ability to discuss your personal matters with anyone besides you, I require a separate authorization form to be signed so there is no ambiguity.  Additionally, the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice outlined within my membership of AADMM are well-defined about privacy and confidentiality.  Lastly, my personal beliefs of “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” makes many decisions in my business and personal life easy.  In this instance, I will handle your personal matters as I would hope you would handle mine.

What if I need a service you do not offer?

Your first consultation is complimentary.  Even if you do not see the service you need listed on the Services page, please feel free to reach out to me.  I’m happy to understand your goals and let you know if I can support you or refer you to someone else better suited to handle your needs.

What geographical area do you serve?

Depending on the type of service(s) needed, I can work virtually, within a client’s home or workplace in the Metro Atlanta area or as a combination of both.

Do you offer services as a one-time need or on-going assistance?

Every engagement is completely tailored to the needs of the client based upon services requested and desired goals.  This could be a one-time need or on-going support and all engagements can be canceled anytime.

Can you teach me instead of perform the services for me?

Every engagement is completely tailored to the needs of the client based upon services requested and desired goals.  I’m more than happy to accommodate educating you as opposed to me performing services on your behalf, which can be discussed in our initial complimentary consultation.

Do you have insurance?

Fiscally Balanced has Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance which applies to claims arising in rendering professional services.  The policy from Dominion Insurance underwritten by Lloyd’s of London is tailored to DMMs.

How do you charge?

The first consultation is complimentary.  This time together will allow us to discuss your needs and the goals you want to achieve.  If we determine that it is a good fit for both of us respectively, then an Engagement Letter is signed and services are billed at an hourly rate.  In an effort to require no minimum number of hours per session we meet, there is a fee for travel time unless you are a virtual client. A retainer is required up front and held to be applied to your final invoice.  Some clients find that the cost savings offset the cost of services for daily money management, while others find the peace of mind to having their financial life organized to be priceless.

I have more questions. How do I get answers?
